Send a Smile

Hi Everyone,

I am excited to share a challenge with you that means so much more than just making a card.  I stumbled across this challenge from another persons blog from the Mojo Monday entries, "Send A Smile 4 Kids"  This is a wonderful idea and has extra rewards,  you get to bring a smile to the face of a child who is suffering with an illness.   All cards donated will be distributed to the Children's Hospital in different areas.   It isn't mandatory to send your cards in to be distributed, but I can't think of any other reward than to share my handmade cards with a child who already has too much suffering in their young life.  Please check out the blog if you enjoy entering challenges and have been looking for a more rewarding one.

Cards can be for the children themselves or for them to give their caretakers and family members.  I will be making a lot more cards from other challenges to share with these kids.  So please think about joining this group and sharing your cards with those little folks who need a little TLC.

Here is my first card I made for "Send A Smile 4 Kids", this challenge is "Bright Colors 4 Kids".  I chose to make a Thank you card for some child to give to one of those special nurses that help out.

Here are the other challenges entered with this card:

Sketch from Mojo Monday #Mojo449
Theme from Cards in Envy, use the color "Deep Blue"

Supplies:

Designer Paper "We Are Family" by Lori Whitlock, Echo Park (Tuesday Morning)
Sentiment "Thanks" CTMH #D1595, Cloud Nine NPM Promotion
Sentiment "You're the Best", From the Heart Stamps "World's Best Coffee", a freebie
Silver Foil washi tape, CTMH
Red Enamel Gems,  CTMH

Thanks for stopping by

Till next time,
Happy Craftin!

Hi Kim! I really like your Thank You card! Great use of blue and patterns kids will love. What a coincidence--I just sent my first little box of cards to SAS4K! It truly is a good cause. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Cards In Envy challenge blog!
