Plan your life with CTMH

I hope everyone had a great Christmas.  I have been so busy putting together last minute gifts I haven't had time to post anything.

This is a reminder that our current campaign is almost over.

You can still get the planner bundle till the end of the month.  It is a great way to start your new year out right.

I am just starting to fill mine out and am trying to incorporate scrapbooking fun with my daily planning.

Be sure to add some of the extras when you order your bundle, like the washi tape and page protectors.  The page  protecters can either hold pictures or receipts or just notes.  I plan on creating a little to do section in my planner, where I can keep a picture and links of all the new projects I want to try.

I think this will be especially helpful to get a jumpstart on next year's christmas gifts.

Be sure to pick up your Stamp of the Month too.  Just spend $50 and get this great stamp for only $5.

I would love for you to shop with me here!

Till next time.

Have a Happy New Year!

Perfect card for your Niece

Thank you for taking the time stop by.

I saw a card in Walmart that I really liked the sentiment behind it.  It was a rather expensive card, but I thought I could do it justice.  Here is what I came up with.  Even thought I missed the deadline, I want to give the credit for the inspiration of the cover to #FMS214.

The card was a trifold, but the first fold actually was the cover of the card.  I decided I would rather make it look like a regular card on the outside.

I cut a piece of card stock at 5.5"x 12", and scored it at 4", and 8".  Then fold the back flap in and the front flap over it.  Here is the inside.

I used Anna Griffin Minc to glitter the letters, I was going to do the same to the words in pink, but I don't have much luck getting the foil to adhere to the vinyl.  So I cut these words in vinyl.  The other lettering was written with my #Cricut Explore.

Here are the products I used.

#ctmhkaleidascope
CTMH Exclusive Card stock in Gypsy and White Daisy
CTMH Exclusive Inks in Canary, Pear, Gypsy and Black
Purple Enamel Gems
CTMH Stamp Set #D1672, exclusive to the Kaleidoscope Card Making Kit

Please check back to find out what CTMH specials and deals we have going.  I won't be posting as often, due to time constraints.  With the holidays approaching this is consuming too much of my time.

I will continue to put my card creations on Pinterest and I have started to use Instagram.  This allows others to see my work and get inspired to create things of their own.  I have used Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration so I feel it is only right to pay it forward.

In this day and age of technology we have such a wonderful media to share our projects.  Feel free to use any of my work to create your own.  I would love it if you would leave a comment and show me your work that I inspired.

Occasionally I will provide instructions or files for some of my work, most of it is very easy and pictures are all you need.

With that said, be sure to check out our December promotions.

Print then Cut Your Christmas Card

Hi Everyone,

Today's card is a Christmas card for the little girls in your life.  I am also submitting this card to the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge this week "Winter" #4CC275.  I was making Elsa cards and she definitely represents winter.

At first I was going to cut a few bit and pieces to add layers, but decided against it.  I decided to Print then Cut (#ptccricutexplore) my Elsa image.  For one, finding the correct flesh color is almost impossible.  Second, I didn't want to cut all those little pieces.

Tip:  if you think your printer is making the colors vibrant or dark enough, make them a little darker than you want them.  I darkened Elsa's face and clothes, but I lightened her hair a little.  You can do this before or after you flatten the image.  You can't adjust colors on printable images.

I used a very fine tip journaling pen and added just a touch of eyelashes, a little chalk on the cheeks and around the face.  I added Wink of Stella and Stickles to her hair.  I think she came to life.

I added more snowflakes and a sentiment "Let It Snow".  I cut this sentiment in White Daisy and painted it with my Wink of Stella in clear.  It gives it the same shimmer you see on real snow.

I hope you enjoyed my card.

Masculine Birthday Card

Today's card was created using 3 different challenges;  Color Throw Down Challenge #ctd370Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #SSSC297, and the theme "Masculine" from 4 Crafty Chicks #4CC274.

I didn't make the deadline to enter the challenge, but I did use their challenges for inspiration.  I try to do a couple of challenges a week to stock up on my cards.  I am current working on Dec and Jan, I have a lot of birthday's coming up.

I used #CTMHpaper, in Chocolate Brown, sunset, and Crystal blue.  The printed pattern was from the #CTMHpathfinding paper pack.

I used two squares to slice the diagonal image, then welded the word happy to it, this font is #CTMHArtistry.  The birthday is a system font, Steelheart.

I stamped my candles with a design and the used my crimper to give them dimension.  I did use an embossing folder on the diagonal piece, I just made sure the word happy was not inside the folder.

Very simple, I sure love the versatility of my Cricut Explore and the quality of my #ctmhpaper.
